Sanctuary 2 – ASMR Relaxation Session with Positive Affirmations

Welcome to Sanctuary, a relaxation series specially dedicated to those who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) where I try to convey a sense of safety while using a variety of ASMR triggers, such as hand movements, whispering and sounds from various objects, to help calm the viewer, ease their minds, relieve their stress and anxiety, and help them to sleep. In this particular episode I also introduce some positive affirmations in an attempt to help empower the viewer to think more positively about themselves and have a more positive outlook on life.

Some positive affirmations used in this video:
I deserve to be happy
I am a survivor
I am safe
I am a good person
I am a good parent / son / daughter
I am positive
I am strong
I am free from addiction
I am strong
It’s okay to say no
I don’t hurt others on purpose
It’s okay to make mistakes, everyone does
I will live in the moment
I can trust my intuition
I am responsible for myself, other are responsible for their actions without my involvement
I am capable of loving and being loved
It’s okay to do one thing at a time and not take on everything at once
There are good people in this world

For anyone new to my channel or this video, I am not a trained professional. I am just a regular guy who simply wants to do my humble little part to help others that need it.

Take care and stay well,

What is ASMR? Why am I whispering?

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.

My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or “tingles”, but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety relief, stress relief, insomnia relief, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more.

i think it's really damn sad that you're doing shit like this to show compassion for random strangers for free while most people wouldn't do something like that even to their own friends and family.

Don't forget people with BPD! Thanks for the great video.

I like how you're always straight faced while doing this video. 😂

You are such a wonderful human being. Thank you so much for what you're doing. Watching and listening to you helps me go through the hardest pars of my life and I feel blessed to be alive.

This is my all time favorite video. if you could please do another entry in the series, it would be so greatly appreciated. You are the best and I want to say thank u for getting me thru some really dark, hard times.

I'm having a shit ton of depersonalization and the first thing I thought was to come here. thank you so much for creating a safe space for me and my mental health, I truly appreciate you and the effort you make to help us and have done for years, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Can someone give that man a trophy or something?! He deserves love and attention and some recognition •^•

Nothing can help me. Not a doctor, not ASMR, not friends, not myself. Please, it's not vitimism. It's the truth, I'm having a hard time and it's been so long. I don't wanna kill myself but there's nothing I can do. Except for my guitar, I'm totally alone.

Super, super awesome to have some ptsd specific asmr! Thank you so much

I gotta say, thank you. I'm going through a really tough time in my life, and this is the best positive affirmations video I found. This singular video is helping me so much with my suicidal thoughts and heart break. Thanks again, man. I love you❤️

As a person who has depression I’m thankful for people like you who make videos like these that help me manage and just relieve stress this is the type of stuff I wanted to hear from somebody and not everyone has the person to do so.

I really love this series. It's helped me with getting to sleep as I have sleeping issues due to my PTSD. I also loved how you actually used the criticism you got on the last video. Anyways these videos have helped me a lot with sleeping and when I'm having a panic attack. Thank you.

Rift youre one of the best asmr'ers, u seem like a guy who i would hang out with, but bro all im saying is could you leave any kind of sacreligous comments out of ur videos. I don’t know why I’m crying in the club rn

Just came across this, will have to delve into this. I often get so much anxiety from PTSD I am just wiped out on the couch, but then stay up into the wee hours at night.
I still don't understand how and why insomnia is a part of PTSD but oh well.
Positive messages and affirmations is something I need to work on, because my life is filled with being stigmatized not only as a person with PTSD, but also sexual assault and stalking survivor.
The hate that victims receive after barely surviving all of these situations is often unbearable, no wonder I got PTSD. After escaping some dangerous people, the hate and lies of others propelled me even deeper into PTSD.
Then I see someone with positive affirmations and I know this is exactly what I should work on.

Could listen to the chalkboard for hours…

you should make anothet one of these

This made me cry. I really needed this. Thank you.

I can't feel the tingles anymore 😢

It’s been a bad night. So here I am.

I feel like suicide and you help me, e.r.

I just want to thank you for this video, I dont know if I personally suffer from PTSD or anything similar, but I constantly deal with thoughts of dysphoria and self harm, as well as struggling with some issues from my past. This video really helped me, and I thank you for that, it made me actually feel safe, and again I thank you, you really made me feel at home, especially with some of the things you said during the clipboard section, they made me feel worth something, so thank you, truly.
