Conor McGregor’s teammate Peter Queally is getting set to fight the man who helped Khabib Nurmagomedov prepare to for his victory against the Notorious in October.
Queally (11-4-1) will face Former SBG man and Kilkenny native Myles Price (10-7) who is now with Team Ryano.
The pair will clash in Dublin at Bellator 218 at the 3 Arena after both men were signed by the promotion earlier this year, according to MMAFighting.com.
But with the ongoing rivalry between McGregor and Khabib, this bout is expected to be explosive as Queally will look for retribution for the Notorious against the SBG defect.
McGregor and Khabib currently await the findings of a Nevada State Athletic Commission investigation into the brutal brawl at the end of the pair’s UFC 229 main event, but a slice of revenge for both sides is on the cards in the February 23rd bout.
Price has previously admitted that he and McGregor never got on, and labelled the former UFC two-weight champion as ‘narcissistic’.
Price said: “I’ll be honest with you, I never really got on well with Conor within the gym because me and Conor sparred a lot. At the time, Conor was taking fights at lightweight.
“I understand the hierarchy within gyms. Even here at AKA you have heated spars, but afterwards we shake each other’s hands, we talk about what we can work on and develop as training partners or as a team.
“Basically, with Conor, he’s quite narcissistic. He’ll see you as competition. He’s not very nice to be around in the gym. If you’re giving him hard spars, he won’t see you as a friend after a while.”
